Arts On The Island of the Isle of Hope United Methodist Church is a self-supporting arts outreach ministry that promotes missions and/or spiritual growth.

As a committee of the Church Council, Arts On The Island plans and supports music and other arts programs which seek to reach out to the community. These programs promote spiritual growth through their content, and/or raise money for the missions of the church. Our events have been as small as a beginning watercolor class, and as large as the biannual Summer Dinner Theatre which presents Broadway Musicals over two weeks in late summer. Our gifts to missions have also been wide-ranging, from several hundred dollars to purchase CAT Bus passes for poor working families, to an $11,000.00 gift to support the Savannah District Transportable Housing Project.

Something’s Afoot Benefits Second Harvest

Arts On the Island had designated that all proceeds from the production of Something’s Afoot would go to America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, a locally inspired, volunteer-driven nonprofit food bank and community-building organization with the mission of feeding hungry people and strengthening communities in a twenty-one county service area. We are pleased to announce this gift in the amount of $6,000.00. We appreciate all the many people whose time and talents contributed to the show’s success, whether on stage or behind the scenes. We also thank all who attended the performances, and those who purchased advertising in the program.
