• Faith In Practice Medical Mission Teams (College and adults) Feb 5-13 and Feb12-20; cost approx $1500 per person

This is a community of volunteers who work to improve the physical, spiritual and economic conditions of the poor in Central America. Healthcare teams are made up of doctors, nurses, dentists, dental hygienists, physical therapists, and other medical support personnel. Each team provides surgeries, medical and dental care that otherwise would be unavailable to the people.

  • Haiti (College & Adult) May 25- June 3; cost $500.00

A team of 12 college students and adults will return to work with OFCB Ministries in Bayonnais, Haiti. www.ofcbministries.org . We will help as needed by OFCB Ministries following the recent earthquake in Haiti-more info to follow.

  • United Methodist Relief Center (9th grade) June 27 – June 30; cost $125.00

We will once again work with the United Methodist Relief Center in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. Our group will be providing home repairs for people in need in the Charleston/ Tri-County area. Teams will be under the supervision of a paid contractor. This is great preparation for ASP. www.umrc.org

  • Appalachia Service Project (10th – 12th grade) July 10 – 17; cost $250.00

Our 10th -12th graders will provide home repairs for families lving in poverty in the Appalachian Mountains. The mission of ASP is to help make their homes warmer, safer and dryer. This will be the 15th year that IOHUMC has participated in this life changing ministry.

  • Mission On The Move Tapachula, Mexico (College & Adult) August 3-11; cost $600.00

A team of 8-10 college students and adults will provide relief for the house parents at one of the Mission on the Move Boy’s and Girl’s Homes while they are on vacation. This relief work consists of cooking, cleaning, washing and ironing, and all activities of daily living at the home. www.missiononthemove.org
