Sunday School Classes

Sunday School classes meet each Sunday morning from 10:00am until 11:00am. We will be glad to help you in finding a class that suits your needs.

Adult Classes

Berean Bible Class: Appropriately called a Bible Class Because of its devoted study of the Holy Scriptures. The class got its name from Luke's account of the people of Berea in Acts 17:11 which states "...they received the messsage with great eagerness and examined scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true." Examining the scriptures is inspiring and dynamic because this class is taught with leadership that invites questions and contention. It distinguishes God's relationship with the people of Israel and His Message to the Body of Christ through the Apostle Paul. The regular members of this class range from Senior High to Senior Citizen. Come, listen and share God's word with the Bereans.

Cornerstone Class: A family-oriented class of about 50 couples ranging in age from 20's to 40's. Singles are also very welcome. A large contingent from our class serves as Sunday School teachers for the children; therefore, we have many in the class (both male and female) without a spouse so if you are spouseless you won't be the only one! Our format for learning is varied. We have a different leader for each topic. The topics range from traditional Bible studies to contemporary applications of Biblical principles to personal testimonies. Please come and join this friendly class!

Wylly-Dupon Class: The Wiley-Dupon Class was named for Mr. George Wylly and Dr Stephen Dupon, both early trustees of our church. The Rev. Ray Adams, a retired Methodist minister is the regular teacher of the International Sunday School Series. Our group is made up of men and women, couples and singles, most of whom are fifty-five or older. There are exceptions and we welcome with open arms friends of any age. In addition to our Sunday morning fellowship, we enjoy several evening get-togethers every season just to enjoy each other's company. Join us!

The Seekers Class: This group of primarily "empty-nesters" explores living the Christian life in an unchristian world. Contemporary issues, using the Bible as a guide, are discussed.

New Hope Class: The New Hope Class is blessed with members of all ages, primarily from the mid-30's to early 50's. We have among our members young couples and parents, couples with older children, and single parents. We welcome anyone who would like to join us. Our lessons include Bible study and the application of God's Word to our lives. Please join us or visit any time.

Pilgrim Class: This class consists of about 40 members including both singles and couples. We welcome adults of all ages; however the ages of our regular members fall approximately 50 and over. We offer a diverse program including Bible study , speakers from local charities and other church curricula.

New Horizons Class: Our class welcomes all age groups, single or married, with or without children. Fresh, innovative ideas, diversified topics (Biblical and issue oriented) and frank and honest discussions make this class unique. We also share great get-togethers outside of Sunday School class, whether they be planning meetings or just light-hearted gatherings.

Good News: A new classs of Young Adults with ages ranging from 20's to 40's. The class is discussion oriented with particular attention to the application of Christian beliefs to everyday life. Class members choose topics of discussion and actively participate in developing the course agenda. We also enjoy gatherings outside of the church on a regular basis and participate in various civic activities.

Some of the features of our program:

Youth Classes

Classes for students in Grades 7 - 12 meet in the Youth Building. Grades 7 and 8 use the "Trek" curriculum, a life-centered Bible study that links Biblical teaching with such topics as community, future planning, peer pressure and other issues of concern for teens. Like the Elementary Program, this is a unified curriculum that is adaptable for differing age groups and utilizes a team-teaching approach.

Senior High students (grades 9-12) use the Senior High "Trek" curriculum taught by different teachers and speakers. Their Sunday School Program is tailored to meet the unique needs of Senior High students as they explore their relationships with God and one another.
