Each Sunday, hundreds of adults gather for study and Christian fellowship at 10:30am. Classes meet year-round and visitors are always welcome. In fact, we encourage you to visit several classes and experience the variety they have to offer.

Survivors from the Valley
A New Sunday Morning Class for Parents
Our first study will be based on the book "Bags: Helping Your Kids Lighten the Load.” Do you want your kids to grow up to be emotionally, mentally, relationally, and spiritually healthy? We do, too! This class will be taught by Wendy Williamson, Bob Akin, and Carolyn Hannaford in room 15 located in the main building.
For more information, contact Rev. Meg Procopio (mprocopio@iohumc.com).

ADULT SUNDAY CLASSES

Seekers Class: This class is a group of mostly “empty nesters” who love living the Christian life in an un-Christian world. They explore contemporary issues using the Bible as their guide. Everyone is encouraged to read and study ahead so that the class is a real learning experience. Main Building Room 18

S.A.L.T. - The "Study and Learn Together" class is designed for adults primarily in their late 20’s through early 40’s. The curriculum varies from Christian living books to Biblical exploration in a conversational format with shared leadership. Bridal Parlor Room 8

New Horizons Class: This class welcomes all age groups, single or married, with or without children. Fresh, innovative ideas, diversified topics (Biblical and issue–oriented), and varied, honest discussions make this class unique. Great gatherings are shared outside of class as well. Main Building Conference Room

Good News Class: This class uses Bible study with particular attention to the application of Christian beliefs to everyday life. Class members choose topics of discussion and actively participate in developing the course agenda. Regular gatherings are enjoyed outside the church and in various civic activities. Main Building Room 19

Sisters of Strength: Sisters of Strength is a class for mature single women who are widowed, divorced, or never married.  Facilitated by Suzy Carpenter, the group welcomes women to share their strength and struggles as they navigate life in singleness.
