Spiritual Stewardship with Dr. Tim Deatrick

Dr. Tim Deatrick, Director of Professional Services with MortarStone, will be joining us at IOHUMC to help answer these exact questions.

Rev. Procopio recently heard Tim speak at a conference and was deeply grateful for his leadership on financial stewardship as a spiritual practice. Often including humor, he shared that spirituality must be "grounded in dirt," and noted that Jesus never actually asked the Rich Young Ruler for funding.

Dr. Deatrick will join us on September 19 and 20 to lead workshops, provide one-on-one financial advisory sessions, bring the message in Sunday worship, and inspire us during the Sunday School hour. Through these many avenues, he will share a fresh and practical perspective on financial stewardship as a spiritual practice.

Dr. Deatrick is not an attorney, insurance agent, or wealth manager. He is a Certified Philanthropic Advisor (CAP) who helps individuals explore creative ways to make charitable gifts through non-cash assets and thoughtfully include charitable causes in estate plans. He has no products to sell, and through his partnership with Isle of Hope UMC, all sessions are offered free of charge. We hope his visit sparks your curiosity and offers new ways to think about generosity, faith, and the legacy we leave.
